AHK Japan is the key institution of Germany’s foreign trade promotion in Japan, representing the interests of German business in Japan. For our team in Japan, we are currently seeking at the earliest possible entry date a Consultant for our consulting services.

About the position
- Support of projects with a focus on the development of bilateral economic ties. Clients are primarily German companies or government agencies at the federal or regional level.
- Involvement in special projects (trade missions, events, etc.) including preparation of market reports.
- Consulting of private companies concerning the market entry to Japan.
- Support in developing new projects in emerging areas with reference to potential German target groups.
- Establish contacts with Japanese companies on behalf of German businesses.
Required qualifications
- Graduate preferably in industrial management, east Asian/Japan regional studies or other studies related to economics.
- Experience in the implementation of private and/or publicly-financed projects.
- Motivated, reliable and proven flexible personality.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in an international environment.
- Native level Japanese speaker and fluent in German or English.
- Highly competent in all current MS Windows applications and working with CRM software.
