Start date: Nächstmöglich The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) or AHK Indien is the primary contact for Indian and German Companies who want to do business with each other. We are a membership-based organization that offers advice and services to members, collaborates on Indo-German cooperation initiatives and functions as the voice of the Indo-German business community at an institutional and governmental level.
We play a crucial role in strengthening economic and cultural cooperation between India and Germany by offering varied services across domains such as company formation, vocational training, management training, HR recruitment, events, delegations, sustainability services and much more to our members. Due to an upcoming vacancy, we are currently looking for a manager to join our Delegations Team at the earliest possible date.
About the position
- Comprehensive in-depth market reports in German for various projects across industry sectors. This would include primary and secondary research to assess market potential for Indo-German trade and investment. This includes analysing existing government policies, support mechanisms, market drivers and technologies, thereby identifying niches within a particular industry for German companies to engage in India
- Writing project proposals (German and English) and preparing project reports and other documentation, independently or in collaboration with team
- Support in project planning, outreach to stakeholders and delegates especially in Germany and in India, support in programme & meetings co-ordination and on-site support
- Developing connects to various industry stakeholders to gain insights into the industry with the objective of enlarging IGCC’s sector and industry competency and related advisory capacity
- Engage with various stakeholders, represent IGCC as speaker or participant at conferences and sessions
- Actively keep oneself updated on developments in renewable energy and sustainability domains as well as other current key areas of Indo-German business engagement
- Generate sector and industry briefs and IGCC magazine articles
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in market research and report writing
- Experience in handling (government) tendered projects and bidding processes
- German – native fluency, C2 level
- English – business proficiency, C2 level
- Proficient in analysing and presenting information in a structured, clear and accurate manner, both verbal and written
- High ability to write and present with statistics (where applicable) formal and factual reports, identifying key issues
- Sound understanding of sustainability and energy-related topics
- Excellent intercultural skills and adaptability, ability to work in multicultural environments
- Effective communicator with ability to network and influence at different levels
- Customer and market orientation
