Start date: Nächstmöglich The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) or AHK Indien is the primary contact for Indian and German Companies who want to do business with each other. We are a membership-based organization that offers advice and services to members, collaborates on Indo-German cooperation initiatives and functions as the voice of the Indo-German business community at an institutional and governmental level.
We play a crucial role in strengthening economic and cultural cooperation between India and Germany by offering varied services across domains such as company formation, vocational training, management training, HR recruitment, events, delegations, sustainability services and much more to our members. Due to a current vacancy, we are looking for a Head, Vocational Education & Training (VET) to join IGCC at the earliest possible date.
About the position
- Responsible for acquisition of customers through promotion of VET services
- Consult companies comprehensively on VET solutions
- Coordinate with relevant public institutions and partner companies
- Act as the key account manager to ensure deliverables by the team
- Plan and manage business field budget, team & other resources to ensure projected income targets are achieved
- Define pricing strategy for VET services
- Draft and review business proposals
- Plan and monitor project status and project budgets
- Prepare project reports including financials on a regular cadence. Actively keep oneself updated on developments in renewable energy and sustainability domains as well as other current key areas of Indo-German business engagement
- Generate sector and industry briefs and IGCC magazine articles
Required qualifications
- Master’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or similar field
- Minimum 10 years work experience in training and development
- Prior experience of minimum 5 years in project management or after sales support
- English and Hindi: Business Proficiency
- Good to have: German (B1 level)
- Well versed in Microsoft Tools
- Ability to identify new market potential and tap opportunities to enlarge scope of services and customers
